Cranksgiving 2023: Collect food for local charity Hope for Food - 8th and 11th of November

Velo Domestique - Cranksgiving 2022

Get ready for the 2023 Cranksgiving Bournemouth event as we come together to gather food donations for the local charity Hope for Food - established in 2012 and operated entirely by volunteers. Hope for Food strives to provide essential support to those in need.

This marks the ninth year Velo Domestique has organised Cranksgiving, dedicated to supporting Hope for Food. Last year, we doubled our efforts by hosting a family ride, and we are excited to do this again in 2023 to help maximize the food collection for those who require it most.

Cranksgiving remains a charity cycling event where participants aim to swiftly collect specific food items from a list of designated stores. Following the ride, all gathered food will be generously donated to Hope for Food.

Participation in this event is free and open to individuals of all skill levels. Riders are responsible for purchasing the food items listed, which typically amount to approximately £6. Don't forget to bring lights, a lock, and we strongly encourage the use of helmets. Additionally, a bag will be necessary to carry your collected items as you navigate the route.

Check out the photos from last years Cranksgiving. Please share pictures of you participating to encourage people to take part this year.
