To celebrate the 10th edition of Brother in the Wild Dorset, we’re bringing a Velo Domestique feast to the rolling hills of the Purbecks.
After a day spent riding gravel roads and exploring the landscape, we’ll gather under canvas for an evening built around great food, good wine and long shared tables.
The Food
The menu will be served feasting style, with generous dishes designed to be enjoyed together. Expect food that reflects the Velo Domestique kitchen — bold flavours inspired by Mexican cooking and barbecue, alongside plenty of house pickles, sauces, dressings and dips. We’ll be showcasing some brilliant local produce from Dorset, bringing together fresh seasonal ingredients with the kind of comforting, flavour-packed cooking that works perfectly after a long day in the saddle.
This is food that’s exciting but also nourishing — a menu designed to refuel and set you up for the next day’s adventure.
The Table
The evening is all about bringing people together, so guests will be seated at shared long tables in groups of 6–8, with dishes arriving at the table to enjoy collectively. Whether you’re arriving with friends or meeting new riding companions, the idea is simple: great food, good conversation and a relaxed evening as the sun sets over the Purbeck hills.
The Wine
Alongside the meal, we’ll be offering an optional wine pairing — four 125ml glasses for £20 — featuring an exciting selection of biodynamic, low-intervention and characterful wines, chosen to complement the dishes perfectly. There will also be additional wines and cocktails available to order on the night.
